Accounts Payable Specialist- Toronto

Experience using Yardi or Timberline (Sage300) is an asset. The ability to prioritize and work well under pressure is paramount.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Verify invoice accuracy, code invoices, obtain approvals and enter into Timberscan/Timberline/Yardi
- Handle accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
- Follow up with authorized internal parties to ensure that proper backup and approval exists at all times prior to processing an invoice in the system and with company’s procedures and policies
- Reconcile progress billing invoices to contracts to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Assist various departments to ensure accurate flow of invoices per deadlines and ad-hoc requests
- Perform cheque runs, process wire transfer payments and online bill payments
- Process invoices in a multi currency environment
- Check for accuracy on Purchase Orders and Contracts that are submitted to accounting
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in accounts payable; experience with property accounting and Yardi an asset
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively within a fast-paced environment
- Understand Canada’s federal and provincial sales taxes
- Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- Real estate development experience is an asset but not mandatory
