__Job Duties & Responsibilities:__
- Preparation and maintenance of project proformas, cashflows and projections
- Sensitivity analysis and modeling of various deal or use scenarios
- Maintenance of project budgets, and reconciliations to progress draws
- Liaison with Accounting department and Project Managers to ensure budgets, and proformas reflect design revisions, incorporate changes, and realistic projections
- Working with the construction managers to ensure proformas capture proper Change Orders, projections, savings, and estimates
- Creating a database for cost comparisons and analysis between various projects and concepts

- Due diligence assistance

__Qualifications:__
- A degree in finance, business, economics or urban planning
- Minimum 5 years of experience, preference for Real Estate industry or related field
- Strong financial analytical and modeling skills
- MS Office Suite Proficiency - Intermediate to Advanced Level in MS Excel

Senior Financial Analyst

Westbank has a wide variety of entities, including limited companies, partnerships, joint ventures and trusts to operate its real estate development, property management, art, music, restaurant, and entertainment activities. Our growing tax compliance obligations require the help of a full-time Tax Compliance Specialist to join our in-house tax team.

__Job Duties & Responsibilities:__
- Prepare and review the group’s 300+ Canadian and US income tax and partnership returns
- Prepare, update and review tax working papers and calculations (e.g. ACB, at-risk amount, CDA, capital gain, safe income, FAPI) for corporate, real estate and investment structures
- Prepare other tax filings as required including foreign reporting and country-by-country reporting
- Prepare year-end consolidated tax provisions for the annual audit
- Assist with dissolutions and windups of inactive entities as necessary
- Assist with tax planning for the corporate group and family office, documenting research and analysis on various tax issues, including federal and provincial income and other taxes (e.g., GST/HST, PST, property transfer tax, COVID incentives)
- Liaise with professional tax advisors as needed
- Resolve CRA audits, and respond to government inquiries
- Respond to ad hoc requests from operating divisions

__Qualifications:__
- 2-3 years’ experience in Canadian tax with US tax experience being an asset but not a requirement
- Accounting designation
- Strong organizational skills, ability to adapt to multiple demands, set priorities and achieve results on a timely basis
- Ability to grasp accounting, tax and legal technical concepts quickly
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Tax Prep and Tax Prep Forms would be beneficial by not required

Leasing Associate

Westbank has a new opportunity for a driven self-starter to meet the accounts receivable requirements for our rental residential portfolio. The candidate should be capable of efficiently processing the monthly tenant portfolio. Westbank's rental residential portfolio is set to increase rapidly over the next five years as we complete construction of a number of residential rental towers in Vancouver and Toronto. As a result, we are looking for a candidate that will be able to adapt to continuing change and improvements to our Yardi Voyager accounting system to reflect the increased importance of the residential rental operations.

__Job Duties & Responsibilities:__

*Accounting*
- Prepare and maintain monthly Accounts receivable duties, including set up of monthly pre-authorized payment, deposit and record receipts, and issue refund of security deposit according to the residential tenancy rules. 
- Reconcile monthly payment reports to billing. 
- Review residential lease contract and manage move in/move out accounting process

*Technical Support and Other*
- Work closely with property management team to coordinate tenant related accounting tasks and queries.
- Understand the current Residential Tenancy Board rules and regulation
