Following the success of the Shangri-La Toronto, we are continuing work another building only a few hundred feet away, as we work to further curate this neighbourhood’s built-environment.
Toronto House is a joint venture between Westbank and Allied. Designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects, the project will retain in its podium levels the visual integrity of the existing historic building and integrate a 57 story rental residential tower. The podium office space has already been 100 percent pre-leased to a global media and technology leader, making a significant renewed commitment to Toronto and Canada. We are thrilled to be collaborating with them to create some of Canada’s most exciting workspace. At-grade, the project will feature a unique living room that brings all the components of the project together in a “collision zone” that we think will be unique in Canada and if successful, something that we could build upon. Toronto House is an important component to our practice’s expansion in Toronto, we would like to think of the surrounding neighbourhood as an area of future concentration for us.
