Zephyr

Created in partnership with Crombie REIT, Zephyr will provide new rental housing for the West End, an expansive grocery store amenity that is the largest in the West End and service-oriented retail at street level. On one hand, we sought to balance a respect for the neighbourhood context, and on the other to recognize that our role is to establish a higher standard going forward. In this light, we have sought to create a new architectural typology for the West End. As with all Westbank projects, we have collaborated with a highly respected artist to integrate art installations into the very fabric of the building. Vancouver-based artist Neil Campbell has created Zephyr, a multi-coloured art installation that extends along the building’s south façade, to act as his living canvas.
